Repost from Maria: “Normally these are not the post I would be posting on my business page but for those that do not know me my name is Maria. I’m a mother to two amazing boys, 8 and 5. For those of you who know me, know how much my boys mean to me they are my world. On 2/13/23 my world changed when my youngest Damian (which is 5 years old) was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease Flattening and broadening the left femoral head with fragmentation and sclerosis of the epiphysis, as well as shortening, broadening and increased sclerosis of the left femoral neck. The left acetabulum is mildly irregular and there is lateral uncovering of the left femoral head. He’s gone through several stages with this disease. First stage, there’s no blood flow to the bone so it deteriorates and then its a waiting period for bone to regrow, so every 6 months Damian has to get x rays to see how the bone is growing at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera. He is not to do high impact activities but how can you stop a 5 year old? Seeing his brother active in sports and going into kinder and wanting to be involved breaks my heart. As of 9/5/24 after his last doctor visit doctor recommended a surgery that will help Damian’s condition. On 10/1/24 he will have surgery. Recovery is 6 weeks and he will have to do home schooling and I will have to watch him. I’m a working mom. I’m an Esthetician, for those that know my income helps my family. Not only do I have to deal with my son having to go through this procedure but the concern of finances. If you could please donate anything can help.”
